Johnny Mathis comes to Branson
Velvet-voiced crooner Johnny Mathis will bring decades of pop music hits and numerous holiday songs to Branson during the “Johnny Mathis Christmas Show” at the Oak Ridge Boys Theatre.
Accompanied by members of the Springfield Symphony Orchestra, he will sing tunes such as “Chances Are,” “In a Sentimental Mood” and “Misty,” for which he received the first of his four Grammy nominations.
Johnny’s career was launched in 1957 when he appeared on the “Ed Sullivan Show.” Johnny is one of only five recording artists to have Top 40 hits spanning the first four decades of his career.
The theater’s 2013 line-up includes the Oak Ridge Boys, Bill Cosby and George Jones.
