Ashley Taylor has been a real find for Select Traveler magazine. Many of you have met Ashley at our conferences, which she almost always attends as a travel planner. She has been involved in creating and managing travel for bank groups for years. 

A couple of years ago, we asked her if she’d like to write a column for the magazine and her insights have been invaluable. She’s written from personal experience about things like tipping during trips, how to find solo time on a group trip and how to best enjoy travel with a companion. She always offers practical ideas that are easy to apply. Because Ashley has a big personality, she also puts an energetic spin on anything she writes.

Once or twice, I’ve seen a layout of her column that did not include a photo of Ashley. That doesn’t make sense, so we always add one. Even her photos have a spark about them. I can only imagine how much fun groups have when she takes them somewhere.

I had the pleasure of attending one of Select Traveler’s OnSite familiarization tours when Ashley came along. Fifteen or so of us went to Egypt with Aventura World. A few of us usually found something off the beaten path to check out, and you could count on Ashley to be there with us.
