BankTravel Conference Update: Bank Volunteers are onboard for breakout sessions in Milwaukee

Banker Breakout Sessions will take their usual place as bookends for conference activities in Milwaukee at the BankTravel Conference February 7-9. Two breakouts will take place on Sunday, February 7 prior to the opening session, and a final breakout will take place on Tuesday afternoon immediately following the closing luncheon.

“The peer-to-peer interaction sessions are always great clearinghouses for information,” said BankTravel CEO Joe Cappuzzello. “No one knows this business better than our delegates, and they seem to really enjoy sharing ideas and concerns with one another in these gatherings.”

This year’s sessions will include the popular First Time Attendee session that was begun last year. Moderators for that meeting will be Rebecca Yarbrough of First Georgia Banking Company in Cornelia, Georgia, and Amy Bradham of the Patterson Bank in Waycross, Georgia.

“Amy and Rebecca spoke to me at last year’s conference and asked if they could help with a breakout, so we put them to work,” said Cappuzzello. “We always appreciate good volunteers!”

The other session on opening day will be a thorough discussion of  Winning Trips for the Coming Year! This was the closing session last year, and there was a strong feeling in the room that this session should be given more time this year as an opening breakout. The moderators will be Karen Geersen of Security First Bank in Martin, South Dakota, and Donna Emmer of Denmark State Bank in Denmark, Wisconsin.

The closing session on Tuesday in Milwaukee is entitled “Communicating the Bottom Line” and will take place for about 45 minutes after the closing luncheon. Bankers who are staying for sightseeing or fam trips are encouraged to attend. This session’s moderators will be Deb Connor of Community First Bank in Keosauqua, Iowa, and Kay Baker of Southwest Bank in Fort Worth, Texas.

Thanks again to all these BankTravel volunteers!
