2011 BankTravel Conference: Prominent bank executive to address conference

LOS ANGELES, California — Prominent Los Angeles-based bank CEO Jesse Torres will address BankTravel Conference delegates on Monday, February 7 in Baton Rouge. Torres has authored numerous articles about the banking industry and is considered to be a national expert on social marketing programs within the banking industry.

Jesse Torres is president and chief executive officer of Pan American Bank in Los Angeles. Torres is a bank turnaround professional and one of a small number of Latino bank presidents.

He has spent nearly 20 years in leadership and executive management positions in risk management, internal audit, regulatory compliance, operations, information technology and marketing in the banking industry.

Over his career, Torres has held executive management positions in several financial institutions ranging from $250 million to more than $6 billion in assets. He has negotiated and implemented core-processing systems as well as flagged debit card programs. He is considered an expert in matters related to anti-money laundering and has taught at the FFIEC’S AML School.

Torres has written many e-books and articles and is considered a unique asset within the Los Angeles banking community. He is highly praised for his work in Hispanic marketing, social media marketing and community service.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts from UCLA and is a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School.
