Sixty members of the Midland Chamber of Commerce traveled to China to explore some of the country’s most famous destinations, including Beijing and Shanghai, as well as lesser-known destinations such as Suzhou and Hangzou.
“We walked on the Great Wall of China near Beijing, and saw Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Summer Palace. We also visited a Buddhist temple, a tea plantation, and pearl, jade, silk and rug factories. And we saw the Bund, the waterfront finance district in Shanghai, which is the Chinese equivalent of our Wall Street.”

Members of the Bradford Travel Club visited Hawaii via a cruise on Norwegian Cruise Line’s Pride of America. The cruise called on ports on four Hawaiian islands, and the tour operator arranged for the bank group to have a number of special experiences on shore.
