ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Travel Alliance Partners (TAP) has announced that its newest tour program, SpecTAPular, will be held Oct. 15-18 in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

The annual event will be a collaboration between the 38 tour operators who cooperatively own TAP and a destination seeking to attract group travelers during a particular time period.

The first of these TAP-exclusive programs will offer travelers a one-of-a-kind Bob Hope USO experience in Virginia Beach, which can be booked as a TAP Guaranteed Departure or as a customized tour for preformed groups of 30 or more.

The 2012 Bob Hope USO Show in Virginia Beach is designed to attract visitors to the destination in low-season through a five-day tour, which starts at $1,389 per person, based on double occupancy and includes four nights accommodation; three major dinner events and daily breakfast; the Bob Hope USO Show with musical tributes to Frank Sinatra, Frankie Valli and the Andrews Sisters; an air show at the Military Aviation Museum; a tour of the U.S. naval base and other U.S. military related experiences.

The program is geared toward travelers ages 55 and up.

“Our goal is to deliver more than 1,000 visitors to Virginia Beach over the course of the five-day event,” said Bob Cline, president and general manager of West Virginia-based U.S. Tours and the TAP Partner who is managing the 2012 SpecTAPular event.

“We also anticipate revenue growth both for Virginia Beach as well as TAP partners, and on the itinerary’s final evening, we will present the USO with a portion of the proceeds from the program.”
SpecTAPular bookings are being accepted on TAP’s dedicated call center: 866-373-0790.
