This year has also brought continued success for a Web-based education program that TAP started in 2013. Called “TAP Into T.A.P.: Tuesdays at Two,” this series of weekly webinars gives travel buyers and other industry professionals opportunities to learn about specific products offered by TAP companies.
“Every Tuesday, a TAP partner hosts a 10- to 15-minute webinar that highlights either a specific tour or a specific destination,” Murphy said. “We always have a line of our partners that want to participate in that every week.”
The webinars have proven popular, with as many as 100 participants on the line to learn about certain tours and destinations. And though the webinars first take place as a live call, each program is recorded and stored on the TAP website so that anyone can go back and replay the full webinar at their convenience.
The TAP website will also see new developments in the coming year, with more information and a graphic overhaul.
“We’re trying to push more and more information online because it’s so much easier to add product and keep it current in an online format,” Murphy said.
The organization has also created a Web product called the TAP Tour Wrap that allows group leaders, travel agents and other parties to sell TAP trips directly from their own websites.
