DAVENPORT, Iowa — On April 1, 1991, the Quad Cities launched a nationwide resurgence of riverboat gambling when the historic Diamond Lady, now the Isle Casino Hotel, unveiled its games of chance, just 30 minutes before the President, now the Rhythm City Casino.

The Quad Cities was the first area in the United States to offer riverboat gaming.

As part of the community’s celebration of the upcoming 20th anniversary of riverboat gaming, the Rhythm City Casino in downtown Davenport, Iowa, is offering special group tour packages from March 15 to April 15 for motorcoach groups of 30 or more.

The Lunch Package includes: arrive by noon with a four-hour stay required, receive a free lunch buffet, $5 in free bonus play, the possibility of a subsidy based on how the group plays and group leader perk of $50 free bonus play.

The Breakfast Package includes: breakfast buffet, $10 in free bonus play, the possibility of a subsidy based on how the group plays and group leader perk of $50 free bonus play.

The Rhythm City Casino also is offering a commemorative coin that recognizes its 10 years as an Isle property in Davenport for each bus guest from March 15-April 15, while supplies last.

Located on the Mississippi River, the Quad Cities comprises Davenport and Bettendorf, Iowa; Rock Island and Moline/East Moline, Illinois; and surrounding communities.

In addition to the Isle Casino and the Rhythm City Casino, the Quad Cities has a third casino, Jumer’s Casino, located in new facilities inland in Rock Island.
