The Group Travel Leader Small Market Meetings Going on Faith

Laura Schwartz to keynote BankTravel 2012

Schwartz was asked to cover the 2008 presidential campaign for the “CBS Early Show” and served as an on-air political analyst for Fox News as well. She also served as special correspondent to “Larry King Live” and CNN for the presidential primaries over that time period.

Currently, she is seen internationally on “Good Morning London,” the “BBC World News” and Sir David Frost’s “Frost Over the World.”

“I can’t wait to speak to your bank program directors,” said Schwartz. “People take their money personally, and that’s what your delegates bring to their banks. They are the personal connection to so many customers.

“My family banked at a community bank in Plymouth, Wisconsin, the whole time I grew up. And my grandparents took trips with their bank all the time. And, of course, now I travel the world, and I’ve learned more from travel than anything I’ve ever read in a book.”

Schwartz is a well-known mistress of ceremonies for events, including charity galas, sporting events, panel discussions and fashion shows. She is the annual emcee for the American Heart Association’s Heart Walk in Chicago’s Grant Park and does similar work for the Community Celebration of the United Way in recognition of its top corporate executives, volunteers and government officials throughout the country.

“I learned volunteerism from my parents — for charities, for church, for school. My parents taught me that those things come back to you 10-fold,” she said.

Don’t miss Schwartz’s address on Feb. 7 at BankTravel 2012. She’s looking forward to the event.
“It’s so exciting that I get to speak before the opening event at Graceland!” she said. “It will be ‘Eat, Drink and See Elvis.’ I can’t wait!”
