RYE, N.Y. – Insight Vacations has released a new 2013 tour of New England’s Cape Cod region called Boston, Cape Cod and the Islands. The 9-day tour keeps close to Massachusetts and Rhode Island’s coast while focusing on the area’s history and culture.
“With our current tours of New England selling out in 2011 and 2012, we have added a new tour visiting Cape Cod and the islands,” said Marc Kazlauskas, president of Insight Vacations. “This was one of the most requested new itineraries for 2013.”
The itinerary highlights include Boston’s Freedom Trail, Plimoth Plantation, New Bedford’s Whaling Museum and Newport’s Breakers, which is one of the region’s most ornate mansions.
Excursions on Nantucket will allow guests to peruse the island’s cobblestone streets, antique stores and lighthouses. To fully experience the nearby ocean, passengers will also set sail on an 80-foot schooner for a scenic cruise around Newport’s coastline.
As part of the Insight Gold collection, the New England tour features luxury hotels and renowned restaurants in the area. Each tour is limited to 40 passengers.
