WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) honored five Select Traveler Conference bank members, as well as other local banks, for excelling in social media. The second annual list named the Top 50 Community Bank Leaders in Social Media and the Top 25 Community Banker Influencers on Twitter.
The five Select Traveler Conference members trailblazing on social media included:
1.) Busey Bank in Champaign, Illinois
2.) First Security Bank in Searcy, Arkansas
3.) MainSource Bank in Greensburg, Indiana

Nearly all of ICBA’s 6,500 community bank members were eligible to make the social media list. ICBA chose banks based on their engagement with fans and followers, the content distributed on their social media platforms, the number of fans and/or followers they have, and the frequency of posting new content.

Nearly 2,400 ICBA banks have a Facebook or Twitter presence, including more than 1,700 on Facebook alone.
