SEATTLE — Chihuly Garden and Glass is a long-term exhibition on the Seattle Center’s 74-acre campus near the Space Needle that showcases the most comprehensive collection of Washington-native Dale Chihuly’s artwork ever assembled.

The new 1.5-acre facility includes a collection of glass, drawings, architectural installations and other media displayed in eight galleries with both interior and exterior exhibits.

The interior exhibits highlight a wide variety of Chihuly’s most popular works. The exterior includes a 43-foot-tall, 4,500-square-foot Glasshouse that features a 1,400-piece, 100-foot-long suspended glass sculpture.

Chihuly Garden and Glass for the first time combines all the elements of Chihuly’s work — drawings, signature glass series, large architectural installations and personal collections — in a long-term exhibition. The exhibit features a combination of his early works, archival pieces and new works.
