FORT ATKINSON, Wisconsin — The Fireside Dinner Theatre is marking its 50th anniversary season in 2014 with a lineup of shows that includes two original revues, exciting premieres and some beloved favorites.
The seven-show season kicks off in January with a tribute to the decade in which its doors opened with a production of “Solid Gold 60s,” followed by “Mary Poppins”; “Fiddler on the Roof,” which opened on Broadway the same year the Fireside opened for business; “Driving Miss Daisy”; “Smokey Joe’s Cafe”; “Les Miserables”; and “A Fireside Christmas.”
The Fireside, which has grown to include a 652-seat theater, four gift shops, a lounge and dining for up to 1,000 people, is owned and managed by the third generation of the Klopcic family.
