Nashville Announces Post-Tour Program for ST Conference Delegates

Nashville takes pride in its claim as Music City USA and has been recognized by numerous travel industry websites and magazines within the past few years for its unique blend of music, cuisine and culture. Condé Nast, Bon Appetit and Rolling Stone are only a few of the voices that have named Nashville one of the world’s top cities to visit.

The Nashville Convention and Visitors Corporation has put together an exciting two-day posttour program for interested delegates to the Select Traveler Conference in February that will showcase all that excitement. Immediately following the conference, on February 10-11, the city plans to take planners to some of its most iconic sites.

“We are so excited to be able to show your travel planners Nashville,” said Amy Spear, senior tourism sales manager for the Nashville Convention and Visitors Corporation. “We have surprise entertainment waiting for them at a dinner we’re doing at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel. I wish I could say now what that will be, but that would only spoil it.”

Delegates who register to attend the site inspection tour will visit the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, Historic RCA Studio B, The Johnny Cash Museum, Belle Meade Plantation and other sites.

“We’re taking them to the Wildhorse Saloon for lunch and line dancing, and we’ll visit the Ryman Auditorium for a self-guided tour,” said Spear. “The acoustics in the Ryman are world class, second only to the Mormon Tabernacle in Salt Lake City. And we’re also touring the Gaylord Opryland’s nine-acre gardens.”

“Our delegates may register up to two persons from one company as long as they can share a room for these fams,” said conference vice president Teresa Burton. “All meals, sightseeing, guided tours and accommodations are complimentary. This is a great way for travel planners to extend their stay and learn more about the myriad attractions and venues Nashville offers their groups.”

A total of 30 participants may attend the postfam, based on double occupancy, so travel planners who are interested in attending should respond immediately.
