Taking a walk along the Atlantic beach is a lot more fun these days thanks to Myrtle Beach’s new Boardwalk and Promenade. Stretching from the Second Avenue Pier to the 14th Avenue Pier, the Boardwalk and Promenade treat visitors to great views of the Atlantic Ocean while they enjoy numerous shops and restaurants along the way.

The 187-foot-tall  SkyWheel is situated as a centerpiece of the 1.2-mile-long Boardwalk and Promenade. With 42 climate-controlled and fully enclosed gondolas, the SkyWheel gives riders a spectacular view of the Grand Strand.

Drop off the gang at Frank’s Entertainment at the Inlet Square Mall, where 16 bowling lanes, 11 movie theaters and more guarantee a fun afternoon.

Distinctive Myrtle Beach

Myrtle Beach theaters offer lots of entertainment options for group tours. Since 1986, when Calvin Gilmore first brought year-round live theater to Myrtle Beach, the area has emerged as a hot spot for live entertainment, with shows, music, dance, comedy, dinner theater, celebrity concerts and movies.

The area is home to seven live entertainment theaters that feature year-round performance schedules, as well as special holiday shows.

Carolina Opry combines holiday classics with great new favorites, all bound together by fresh comedy and energetic dance.

Dolly Parton’s Pirates set sail with Captain Scrooge on a full-size pirate ship to find the true meaning of Christmas in “Pirates Voyage.”

The South’s Grandest Christmas Show at the Alabama Theatre is a Southern family tradition on the Grand Strand, with visitors and locals returning year after year for Christmas classics and contemporary holiday favorites.

The Palace Theatre’s “Christmas on Ice” brings Santa and his merry helpers to life when they take bank travelers on an unforgettable Christmas journey while on a 40-foot ice skating rink and winter wonderland stage.

Legends in Concert features live concert shows of famous musicians and celebrities of yesterday and today singing their greatest holiday hits.

Medieval Times offers an all-new show where the epic battle of steel and steed is a feast for the eyes and your appetite, especially during the holidays.

Dino’s TV Variety Show, a tribute to one of our favorite crooners, includes Dean Martin’s “celebrity friends” sharing holiday songs and skits.
