The Group Travel Leader Small Market Meetings Going on Faith

A red, white and blue bash awaits BankTravel

Bring your favorite patriotic outfit for BankTravel’s opening evening event in Virginia Beach.

The Virginia Beach Convention and Visitors Bureau and its partners will be transporting the delegation to the highly regarded Military Aviation Museum in Virginia Beach for an opening event that will be talked about for years.

“We are calling it ‘The Sound of Freedom — A Red, White and Blue Celebration,’” said Jim Coggin, tourism sales manager for the CVB. “This will include a USO-style show with a Bob Hope personality to lead the proceedings, and we want everyone to wear red, white and blue to enjoy the spirit of the event.”

“I was in Virginia Beach this summer and visited this museum,” said Bank Travel Management publisher Mac Lacy. “What a treasure this facility is. There are dozens of World War II and World War I vintage aircraft on display here. And most of them are still able to fly. Our delegates will love being photographed alongside these magnificent aircraft. The vintage airplane buffs in their families will be very jealous.”

If you’d like to see this fascinating collection of aircraft before you go, visit www.militaryaviationmuseum.org.

“The American military is so much a part of the fabric of who we are here,” said Coggin. “We’re used to the flyovers that take place all the time here, but visitors are always impressed by these aircraft and pilots that call Virginia Beach home. When you combine the fighter jets with the naval ships that come in and out of here regularly, it really makes you proud to be an American.”

So bring your best patriotic duds, bring your appetite, and bring your camera. The opening event in Virginia Beach will kick off a great BankTravel Conference in February.

If your bank is not registered to attend this informative conference, it’s not too late. Visit  www.banktravel.com, or contact Teresa Burton at tburton@grouptravelfamily.com or 330-332-3841.
