Trip: Treasures of Peru
Tour Operator: Odysseys Unlimited
Date: May 2016
For 10 days, the alumni of the University of Colorado explored Peru’s culture and history. The group visited Cuzco, Lake Titicaca, Machu Picchu and other popular Peruvian cities and attractions.
“The trip was amazing. The local tour guides gave us insight into each of the towns we visited. There were so many special moments. Some of the ones that stand out include a Mother’s Day dinner with a local family, hiking to the Sun Gate at Machu Picchu and visiting Lake Titicaca, where we spent the afternoon learning from locals about how they built their island home.”

Trip: Italian Sampler Tour
Tour Operator: Globus
Date: July 2016
What started as a family trip for the president of the Blackstone Valley Chamber of Commerce developed into a tour offered to the chamber members. By the end, the chamber took 26 people on a 10-day tour of Italy’s highlights, among them Rome, Tuscany, Pisa, Verona, Florence and Venice.
“The trip was wonderful, more than what we ever hoped. The cities were historic, side trips lovely and food out of this world. We did so much, but it was not overwhelming. Everywhere we went was a picture postcard. The locals could not have been nicer or more accommodating to us all. We met people from the community we had never met before and made long-lasting friendships. It truly was the trip of a lifetime.”
