ST PETERSBURG, Fla. – Two of the world’s most famous artists will share an exclusive exhibit at The Dali Museum’s “Picasso / Dali, Dali / Picasso.” The international exhibition will only run at The Dali Museum from November 8 to February 15, 2015 and in Barcelona at the Museu Picasso from March 19, 2015 to June 28, 2015.
The exhibit will featured works from more than 25 international art museums, including pieces from a private collection of the Picasso family. Visitors will examine dozens of works that focus on paintings, but will also include drawings, prints and sculpture.
“The Picasso exhibition offers the possibility of rereading the relationship between two key figures of 20th century art and exploring new interpretations of the period in which their lives and works intersected,” said Dr. Hank Hine, Dali Museum director. “Both of our permanent collections are made up of works by arguably the two most influential 20th century Spanish artists.”
