Whether your last trip to Branson was 10 months or 10 years ago, there’s always something new to discover in the Live Entertainment Capital of Missouri. The shows not only go on but are always changing, along with the city’s attractions — from unforgettable classics and new hits on stage to theme parks, shopping, lodging and outdoor adventures.
Showstopping stays
With more than 16,500 units, including national hotel chains, condos, cabins and local inns, accommodations as unique as your itinerary are ready to welcome you. With new hotels debuting every year, fresh memories and favorites await with each visit.
Last fall, Marriott opened a 123-room Element Hotel; featuring suites and studios designed for long-term stays, plus a fitness center, pool and complimentary breakfast, the hotel is ideal for large or small groups. Its location between Silver Dollar City’s White Water and Ballparks of America, puts Branson’s top attractions only minutes away.
Those who like to step back in time will love the Ozarker Lodge. A nature-forward remake of a 1960s roadside motel, its 102 guest rooms blend rustic and modern styles. In a chill, chic lobby, staff prepare everything from s’mores lattes to French 75s, and a free continental breakfast is served. On-site amenities include soaking tubs, a heated outdoor pool, a continental breakfast and a bar-coffee shop. Live music and movie nights are offered throughout the year, so check the event calendar for extra fun!
Opening in 2027, Silver Dollar City Resort puts two of Branson’s natural assets front and center: Table Rock Lake and the Ozark Mountains. The resort’s 262 rooms and public spaces will celebrate Ozark culture with handmade furnishings, stonework and other touches. Indoor and outdoor pools, a restaurant and transportation to Silver Dollar City are among the resort’s amenities.
Who’s in the spotlight?
With more than 100 shows, Branson’s entertainment scene spans classic rock, country, tribute artists and original hits. Performers take the stage morning, noon and night, offering a wide range of options that can seem daunting to fit into just a few days. Here are a few to consider.
Branson’s shows always dazzle, and those at Sight & Sound Theatre are consistently described as Broadway-quality productions. The 2026 production, “David,” uses original songs and awe-inspiring sets to tell the biblical story of a man who went from shepherd to king. In 2027, Branson will bring “Daniel” to life using massive sets, special effects, live animals and dramatic performances.
In Branson, musically gifted families often band together. The Haygoods — five brothers and a sister who play a total of 20 instruments — sold out 120 shows last year. Thirty years ago, they were kids in cowboy hats; today, they are sleek, contemporary performers who engage audiences with country, gospel, rock and original tunes accompanied by drones, laser lights, holograms and aerial effects.
The Petersens family band is another example of Branson’s family-friendly shows and style. The whole family — parents, four adult kids and an honorary family member — play and sing bluegrass, gospel and American for hundreds of fans. Banjo, bass, voilin, guitar, mandolin and dobro blend together to create unforgettable melodies and toe-tapping originals.
Silver Dollar City’s Showboat features the Riverboat Ramblers who blend riverboat-era tunes with comedy. There’s also a new three-course meal, which ends on a high note with made-from-scratch vanilla creme cake.
So many ways to shop
Shop where Branson started in Historic Downtown Branson. Refreshed with new lighting, sidewalks and signage, the district is a must-see. There, the retail time capsule known as Dick’s 5 & 10, stocks 75,000 items, including favorite candies not found on modern store shelves. With advance notice, staff will share the store’s long history with groups.
Next to Branson’s historic downtown, Branson Landing — a modern shopping complex on Lake Taneycomo — is home to dozens of national and local retailers, restaurants and bars. Its fountain features a show every hour on the hour, with synchronized pyrotechnics set to modern hits.
Stopping at Grand Village Shops feels like stepping into a Hallmark movie on your vacation. Shops with in colorful, awning-accented storefronts sell high-quality gifts and specialties such as handmade leather goods, carved wooden items, vintage toys, beef jerky and artisanal soap. The property also includes two restaurants, making it an easy lunch stop for groups or families.
Step outdoors and into history
Take in Branson’s natural beauty visiting one of the city’s many outdoor attractions. Silver Dollar City is tucked into a pocket of rolling hills, blending nature and entertainment. From the tops of the rides, guests can see miles of Ozarks scenery.
Immerse yourself in nature with “The Shepherd of the Hills” Outdoor Drama. This open-air theater, along with actors and live animals, brings to life an outdoor drama based on the novel “The Shepherd of the Hills,” the story that first brought tourists to see and experience the Ozarks, fueling Branson’s rise as a destination.
Learn more about the region’s history from knowledgeable Branson residents on a Pink Jeep Tour. Choose your route to see a variety of Branson landmarks, including exclusive looks into one of the Ozarks’ oldest quarries. Humor, heart and adventure come together to create an iconic Branson experience.
Don’t leave town without snapping a commemorative group photo in front of one of the city’s murals, including new patriotic-themed murals commissioned to celebrate America’s 250th birthday.
