The Farm, one of Nashville’s hottest music acts, will headline the opening evening event at the Select Traveler Conference on February 8. This hybrid band creates dynamic original music that fuses country, rock and alternative genres in a style that gives The Farm a sound all its own.
“We have booked The Farm!” said Victoria Grider in November, when the contract was signed. “We love them and know your guests will, too.
“They, along with their lead singer, Damien Horne, have been a huge hit at several of our events in the past,” said Grider. “We use them for sales programs on the road; they appeared at our gigantic New Year’s Eve Bash on Broadway; we’ve used them at opening events for SYTA, Travel South, IMEX — you name it. We also used them at a Bon Appetit press event.”
The Farm is known for its tight vocal harmonies and high-energy stage presence. Horne is known to do backflips at the height of a performance, and his band mates, Nick Hoffman and Krista Marie, are well known in Nashville music circles for their fiddle playing and operatic high notes, respectively.
“One thing is for sure when you bring a conference like this to Nashville,” said conference CEO Joe Cappuzzello, “your delegates are going to hear world-class musicians. This city has musicians like New York has actors — your waiter or waitress at a restaurant in February might be a superstar in a couple of years. The very best come to Nashville to make music, and we’re hearing three of them at our opening-night event when The Farm comes to play.”
